Ranger, Necro and Mesmer are IMO in a pretty good place right now (talking about in general, not about specific game mode). You have a few very over represented class like Guardian, but all profession have access to a high dps build for PvE and all of them are great in at least 2 form of content. In the long past it was ranger and necro, but these days it's a lot more balanced. Revenant is close second, he have a bigger place in WvW Roaming, and is as important as the Guardian in PvE, but the Guardian have more diverse role in which he excel. Raid, Fractal and Zerg WvW almost always have a guardian, it's pretty good in sPvP, leaving just Roaming as a the weaker spot. There isn't a lot of content type where Guardian isn't very powerful. I would say that by far Guardian is the most played.
